Family Update Part 1: Decisions, decisions, decisions...

January 2008
Family, friends & partners,

Thank you for praying for us while we have been "silent", unsure of what God had in store for our immediate future. We have been weighing issues and seeking guidance over the last couple months. After much prayer and discussion we have decided to stay here in Toledo for another year.
During this past year, we have been through some deep valleys. Jamithy's father, Jerry who was only 53, went to be with the Lord. Jamithy's twin sister, Kristi, was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin's lymphoma just a week or so later. These events have created much hardship, both emotional and financial, for her family.
Jamithy's sister, Korrine and husband Jeff are moving in with her mom in order to help with the bills. I have been working as much as possible to help finish the basement there, so they have a place to stay. There is still much work to be done, which is one of the many reasons we felt God wanted us to stay.
We feel confident that it is the Lords will for us to remain and serve here. We would like nothing more than to return to school and continue our training, but not if God has something else for us at this time. We feel that these valleys are part of our preparation, molding us for our future ministry in missions.

Rom 8:28 says,
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose".

We are excited to see all He has in store for our family this year and in the years to come!

Words can not express how much we appreciate your commitment to lifting our family up to the Lord. You have been such an encouragement to us and we praise the Lord for your ministry to our family!

Hi guys, we can't believe how big the kids are. Was glad to hear something finally we were wondering if you had made any decisions yet. God will use you wherever you are, He is faithful. We love and miss you.

Serving Him is not a matter of location. So glad God has allowed you to be near family at this time! May you continue to know His peace day-by-day.

Hi guys! Good to here from you and see what God is doing. Hard decision to make, but I'm confident the Lord will work great things through it! We look forward to having you back here when God directs! - Chris D at NTBI

Sorry to hear about the hard ships in your family. Enjoy all the time with them this next year as God uses you where you are.

After this next year hopefully the Lord would have you move on with tribal church planting.

Your brother in Christ,
